Florida supervised hours

One Florida board runs all three licenses and the core numbers are the same for each. You must register as an intern before any hours count.

What HourSign models in Florida.

Each number sits next to the rule it was checked against, with a link to the official source.

  • The shared core: at least 1,500 face-to-face psychotherapy hours, at least 100 supervision hours, spread over at least 100 weeks, with at least one supervision hour every two weeks.
  • The two-week supervision gap check, so you can see a gap while you can still do something about it.
  • A start date tied to your intern registration, because time before registration does not count.
  • Individual and group supervision recorded separately, with the group size and alternation rules shown as warnings with citations.

What HourSign leaves to you.

The honest limits. Read these before you decide.

  • Decide whether you are eligible for a license, or whether the board will accept your hours. The board decides.
  • Set a total experience number. Florida does not publish one, so HourSign does not invent one.
  • Judge the in-person share of supervision or the all-electronic exception for you. Those need judgement, so HourSign shows the rule and leaves the call to you and your supervisor.

Signing and export in Florida.

Florida allows electronic signatures. The board's own supervision log form says so, under chapter 668, part I of the Florida Statutes. Your supervisor can sign a reporting period inside HourSign, and you can still print it if you prefer.

Rules change, and boards update forms without notice. HourSign does not decide whether you are eligible for a license. Your board decides. Check the official source before you file.
